Reporting a problem

If you can, include your device model, iOS version, Trio version, and the steps that led to the problem. A screenshot can help, but please hide private task titles, notes, and other personal information first. Do not send your database or passwords.

Where did my task go?

Scheduled tasks move between cards as their dates approach. Today includes today's and overdue tasks. Upcoming includes the next 7 days, starting tomorrow. Planned holds tasks due 8 or more days from today. Tasks without a date can be kept in Today or In Progress. Your Week Start setting changes the calendar layout, not task placement.

Completed tasks appear in Done for today and in Archive for the past. Check Deleted if you removed something by mistake.

Adding and editing tasks

Use the + button to add a task. The Calendar uses the same form, starting on the day you selected. Quick-date options let you choose Tomorrow, In 1 week, or In 2 weeks. A date decides the task's card; you do not need to choose a destination for a scheduled task.

Remove Time keeps the date but removes the clock time. Unscheduled removes the date; an existing Upcoming or Planned task then moves to In Progress. When creating an unscheduled task, you can choose Today or In Progress.

Tap overflowing task names or notes to open a larger editor. Done returns the text to your draft; it does not add the task. In task details, leaving with an empty name offers Keep Editing, Discard Edits, or Delete. Discard Edits applies only to unsaved name and notes changes; schedule and reminder changes save separately. Delete moves the task to Deleted so it can be recovered; this option is omitted for items already in Deleted. Nothing is deleted automatically because you cleared a name.

Not receiving a reminder?

For a due-time reminder, check that the task has a date and time and that its notification option is enabled. An early reminder has its own date and time and can also be used with a date-only task. Turn notifications on in Trio Settings and allow them in your device's notification settings. Focus modes, notification summaries, and system settings can affect when alerts appear. Open Trio regularly to keep scheduled reminders up to date.

Widgets

Widgets show data from the app's local store. If one looks out of date, open Trio and allow iOS time to refresh it. Widget refresh timing is managed by iOS. Configurable card widgets let you choose the card or pair of cards; other styles have a fixed layout for today's tasks, tomorrow's tasks, a month calendar, or goals. Widgets follow the app's Light, Dark, or System appearance, subject to the Home Screen's own rendering settings.

Widgets display your information; tapping opens Trio. Their circles are not buttons for completing tasks. The small Goal Progress widget lets you choose a goal through Edit Widget.

Appearance and menu position

In Settings, Vibe lets you choose Standard or Liquid, then System, Light, or Dark. System follows your device's appearance. The App Icon choice is separate from the app and widget colors.

On iPhone and iPad, Dock Position places the floating menu on the Right, Left, or Bottom in portrait and landscape. Duo uses its native toolbar instead. Main View settings let you choose and reorder your home cards; tap a card's header to collapse or expand it.

Using iPhone Duo

On the open display, Trio keeps the calendar beside your cards. Opening Goals or a dedicated page uses the other pane while the calendar stays available. The native toolbar adapts to the available display space. Close the device to use the compact layout.

Data and recovery

Trio does not have an account or cloud-sync service, and Sean does not have a copy of your lists. If the app reports a storage problem, do not delete or reinstall it as a first troubleshooting step. Contact support before taking an action that could remove local data.

Deleted items can be restored while they remain in the Deleted page. Cleanup removes items after 30 days when the app performs maintenance, or you can permanently delete them sooner. Local recovery copies and device backups may retain older data. Read the Privacy Policy for the details.
